Position: Associate Vice President, Individual Giving
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Chief Advancement Officer (CAO)

PRIMARY ROLE: The Parkinson’s Foundation is seeking a goal-oriented and self-motivated professional for the position of Associate Vice President, Individual Giving. The Associate Vice President, Individual Giving leads the team responsible for achieving fundraising goals by engaging individual donors to support the mission and strategic plan of the organization. The AVP is a strategic thinker, has deep experience engaging donors and can collaborate with staff and volunteers to build rapport, identify opportunities and influence positive outcomes. The Associate Vice President Individual Giving will work in conjunction with the Chief Advancement Officer to manage a portfolio of prospects, implement the Individual Giving strategy and meet the organization’s fundraising goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and execute a moves management plan for a portfolio of 75-100 donors
- Cultivate and steward donors through various channels; in-person and virtual meetings, volunteer and engagement opportunities and email/phone/written communications
- Solicit donors for six and seven-figure gifts in a thoughtful and timely fashion
- Support the CEO and CAO with management of their portfolios
- Create strategy and drive success in attaining revenue goals for Individual and Major Giving budgets
- Collaborate with team members to ensure success on the Planned Giving and Direct Mail budget lines
- Lead the Individual Giving team, ensuring that the right team members are in place, have a clear direction, are engaged and are meeting goals
- Collaborate with Field team members on their individual and major giving opportunities to ensure success
- Ensure relevant information about high-net-worth donors and prospects is shared on a consistent basis and leveraged across the organization and recorded in Raiser’s Edge
- Define and ensure implementation of comprehensive fundraising strategies that expand philanthropic support from individuals to meet organization’s revenue goals
- Collaborate and partner with colleagues across the organization to identify funding opportunities and serve as subject matter expert on philanthropic strategies
- Maintain strong relationships with program staff to understand programs and anticipate funding needs
- Create an environment that inspires a high level of commitment and performance
- Lead innovation and positive change on team and across organization
- Other duties as assigned by management.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent in business or related field.
- 8+ years of previous and successful experience in fundraising and donor development for non-profit organization.
- Excellent written communications skills, strong grammar skills, in English.
- Demonstrated successful experience and ability to plan and personally implement fundraising efforts with a primary focus on closing major gifts above $25,000.
- Demonstrated results-oriented implementation skills.
- Ability and commitment to learn about and communicate effectively (both written and verbal) the key scientific aspects of Parkinson’s disease.
- Excellent public speaking, oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiating, coaching, consulting, and influencing others.
- Refined problem-solving and analytical skills; the ability to establish and adjust current and emerging priorities; the ability to effectively negotiate multiple complex activities.
- Strong ability to develop relationships with major donors locally and nationally. Existing relationships and connections are strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed.

COMPENSATION:
Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience and location. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included. The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000
