Job Title: Political Organizer
Location: New Jersey
Compensation: $25-$30hour
Position Type: Part-time/Full-time, Temporary (2025 Primary Season)
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Political Organizer to join our team for the 2025 primary election in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be passionate about political engagement and have a strong commitment to supporting our campaign's goals. This role involves training canvassers and volunteers, managing campaign data, working at events, and conducting community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Canvassers/Volunteers:
- Develop and implement training programs for canvassers and volunteers to effectively communicate campaign messages.
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and motivation to ensure canvassing and volunteer efforts are aligned with campaign strategies.
- Organize and lead canvassing events, ensuring that all participants are well-prepared and equipped with necessary materials.
- Data Management:
- Oversee the collection, entry, and management of campaign data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Utilize campaign software and tools to track voter outreach, volunteer engagement, and other key metrics.
- Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving outreach strategies.
- Event Coordination:
- Assist in planning and executing campaign events, including rallies, fundraisers, and community gatherings.
- Coordinate logistics, manage event schedules, and ensure all details are handled to create successful and impactful events.
- Act as a liaison between the campaign and event vendors, volunteers, and attendees.
- Community Outreach:
- Engage with community members to build support for the campaign through phone banking, door-to-door canvassing, and attending local events.
- Foster relationships with local organizations, community leaders, and other stakeholders to enhance the campaign's presence in the community.
- Work to increase voter registration, participation, and turnout in key areas.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in data management and campaign software tools.
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- A passion for politics and commitment to the campaign's values and goals.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
