Our Power Generation client is looking for a Remote Senior Political Polling Researcher for a 12+ month contract. You will be responsible for both qualitative and quantitative research projects with a focus on public opinion polling and development efforts. You will conduct complex operational analyses and lead medium-to-large project teams that support the Research, Insights, and Analytics business unit. Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving findings to be presented to senior management, conducting statistical analyses, and coordinating with other business units regarding initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners to develop an insights roadmap that aligns with key priorities

  • Create and standardize approaches for identifying & quantifying public opinion trends in communications nationwide

  • Recommend and manage custom research methodologies such as focus groups, in-depth interviews, surveys, text analytics, polling, and customer sentiment analysis

  • Produce and present work in dashboards, presentations, and recurring reports that advise and inspire internal partners to action

  • Craft strong stories that integrate several types of data sources, including behavioral data, qualitative and quantitative studies, and syndicated research to shape full stories of consumer and market-driven data

  • Use a broad research toolset, including an understanding of complex research methodologies and the ability to execute DIY research projects

  • Share recommendations with business partners

  • Effectively manage multiple vendor relationships


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • 5+ years of Political Polling experience

  • Experience with insights and reputation management

  • Experience consulting on polling requests, establishing polling methodologies, writing and vetting questionnaires and discussion guides, performing data analysis, presenting results to large groups, and working cross-functionally to implement insights into action.

  • Proven knowledge and experience managing the full market research cycle

  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

  • Familiarity with reputational tracking agencies such as Harris Poll, Public Opinion Strategies, Echelon Insights, IPSOS Corporate Reputation Management, or others

  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data and linking insights to brand growth opportunities

  • Experience with customer insights and analytics tools (survey programming software, secondary research databases, etc.)

  • Ability to communicate all analyses, findings, conclusions, and recommendations to marketing and operating stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interest in politics and public policy

  • Experience with dashboard visualization reporting tools

  • Excellent organizational skills and project management leadership

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic team member open to feedback and collaboration

  • Expert presenter who uses data to tell a story
