The PA Democratic Party’s 2024 Coordinated Campaign is hiring hardworking and passionate Campus Organizers eager to jump right in activating Pennsylvania's diverse young voter and volunteer base in this critical election year.

As the face of our campaign’s on-the-ground operation engaging young voters and volunteers across the commonwealth, Campus Organizers will be responsible for recruiting and managing a team of volunteer leaders and part-time paid fellows on key campuses across the commonwealth.

Campus Organizers will be expected to be located within their region, close to one of the universities they are managing. This position reports to the Campus Deputy Organizing Director and is based in-person in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Training and managing a team of part-time fellows towards daily and weekly relational volunteer recruitment and voter contact metrics

  • Executing standard voter contact activities, including (but not limited to): on-campus events, high traffic canvassing, dorm storming, phonebanks, friendbanks, and content creation and sharing

  • Working with your Regional Organizing Director (ROD) to build and maintain on and off campus volunteer infrastructure necessary for success, including identifying and engaging with existing student groups and online communities to recruit volunteers, build relationships, and foster connection with the campaign

  • Implementing and innovating on grassroots, digital, and relational organizing tactics to reach young voters where they’re at in spaces on and off campus

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • A strong commitment to electing the history-making Harris/Walz ticket, and Democrats up and down the ballot this November

  • An excitement about empowering young people to get involved in the political process

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • A strong work ethic and ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask

  • A driver’s license, reliable access to a vehicle, and the ability to relocate if necessary

  • Connections to PA and/or alumni status are a plus

  • Willingness to learn campaign technology including Google Sheets and Votebuilder;

  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment

  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends

  • Previous campaign experience or experience working with volunteers is preferred but not required
