If you are interested in joining an international, bipartisan strategy consulting firm - The Actum Washington, DC office works with business, government, and non-profit clients to serve strategic consulting, government relations, public relations, coalition building, digital and crisis management efforts. While the subject areas involved in our work range greatly from client to client, some frequent topics include energy, space, finance, health, education, transportation and infrastructure, technology, entertainment, and federal science funding.


Come learn from the some of the most talented individuals in this industry. The Washington, DC office engages with Congress, the White House, federal agencies to help clients attain their goals. Responsibilities vary but may include:


- Research and analyze policies that impact Actum clients

- Perform Congressional monitoring and legislative and regulatory tracking

- Assist with drafting tailored letters of support or opposition for clients

- Assist with drafting proposals and RFP’s

- Prepare memos, bill analyses, and assist with the compilation of meeting materials and other client communications

- Research a wide variety of policy issues

- Draft media and outreach materials, issue summaries, advocacy and Dear Colleague letters, and press kits

- Develop collateral pieces, marketing materials, and event displays

- Perform other responsibilities as needed

-Owning pieces of research projects that will inform client work, this includes synthesizing complex topics and providing ideas as well as recommendations for actions 

-Crafting communications materials including press releases, op-eds, pitches, fact sheets, FAQs, and briefing notes. 

-Media monitoring, including broadcast, print, online, and digital

-Owning pieces of research projects that will inform client work 

-Building and maintaining media lists



Desired Qualifications:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Strong research and critical thinking skills

- Self- motivated, with strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize time to meet deadlines

- Interest in politics, government, communication, issue advocacy or media relations

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media sites
