This internship will run from approximately October- December. This is a full-time internship.

Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC, is a shared-services company that provides legal, government and public affairs services to affiliates of Koch Industries, Inc. around the world.

In this position you will have the opportunity to work with the Washington, DC based Legal Team of Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC to assist with public policy projects focused on criminal justice, free speech and the intersection with technology. Primary responsibility will be to provide support to the Deputy General Counsel, Political Law and Public Policy, Public Policy team, and Political Law Team.

Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and ability to maintain confidential information

Strong critical thinking, communication, and basic arithmetic skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Able to succeed in both team projects as well as independently

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

Assist with political law projects

Assist with public policy-criminal justice/free speech projects

Assist with administrative responsibilities e.g. travel logistics, phones, and light calendaring for the Deputy General Counsel, Political Law & Public Policy and the Public Policy Analysts

Legal and policy-related research

Develop, maintain, and improve databases and educational tools

Attend conferences and meetings on behalf of staff and represent the company in a professional manner

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

Working toward or completed a bachelor’s degree

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (working knowledge of Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Working on completion of your Bachelor’s Degree

Ability to work 40 hours a week Monday- Friday

Ability to travel up to 10%

Ability to work in the U.S without sponsorship now or in the future
