Salary: $5,250/month, generous benefits package

Location: Wisconsin (Please note: Employment with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin requires residence or willingness to relocate to the state of Wisconsin.)

The Opportunity:
As a Regional Mobilization Manager, you will build and support organizers in building local grassroots teams that will then engage in direct and relational voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and volunteer retention. A Regional Mobilization Manager connects and activates people; is ready to build relationships; loves talking to voters; and believes in developing and coaching volunteers and organizers. You will be responsible for executing a field program that works to elect Democrats up and down the ticket by building and maintaining the local volunteer infrastructure necessary for success in the November Elections and beyond.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work to elect all Democrats up and down the ticket.
  • Work to build local grassroots volunteer teams to engage in direct and relational voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and retention.
  • Create a strong inclusive progressive presence in communities within your assigned turf including a relentlessly visible campaign both online and offline.
  • Implement grassroots field tactics, including managing and executing effective activities, i.e. community events, house meetings, tabling, high-traffic canvassing, door-to-door canvassing, & phone banks.
  • Work to develop strong relationships with local stakeholders and constituency groups, including county party leaders and members, local grassroots organizations and activists, and partner and ally groups.
  • Implement digital and relational tactics, including friend banks, content engagement, virtual voter contact, digital door knocking, and maintaining a digital community.
  • Help to build the local volunteer infrastructure necessary for success in the November Elections and beyond.
  • Meet or exceed metrics-based goals for volunteer recruitment & retention as well as direct voter contact.
  • Oversee, manage, and delegate to a turf team of various engagement and field organizers.
  • Managing direct reports in all aspects of their work and supporting their success in the role by conducting relevant coaching conversations, providing and receiving feedback, and creating an inclusive and engaging team culture. More specific tasks could include but are not limited to:
    • Having constructive conversations with team members on performance
    • Building rapport and trust within your team
    • Leading projects and delegating tasks
  • Be a representative of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and our policies, including neutrality as directed.
  • On-year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election preparation as necessary.

Specifically, experience managing a large diverse team to achieve high goals in high-pressure, rapidly changing circumstances such as Get Out the Vote.
  • Democratic Values - Desire to fight for Democratic policies and candidates.
  • Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills - Can connect with others, motivate and quickly gain trust with volunteers, staff, community members, and coalition partners, particularly across lines of difference.
  • Must be Votebuilder (VAN) & Excel proficient.
  • Applicants should have access to reliable transportation and be willing to travel frequently.


Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Previous organizing experience.
