Job Description
The Concord Coalition, a nonpartisan 501(C)(3) public education organization focused on fiscally responsible economic growth, is looking for a motivated and creative press secretary to manage its communications portfolio, technology support, and media outreach.
Duties include:
Assembling, editing, and distributing the organization’s weekly electronic newsletter
Assisting with production and promotion of the weekly podcast/radio program
Managing social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube)
Drafting and distributing press releases and media advisories
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Managing, expanding and updating the media list
Organizing and managing virtual events via Zoom
Website management (posting and updating)
Reporting on the organization’s media and social media metrics
Identifying opportunities to expand media coverage and grassroots outreach
Serving as the IT point of contact for all employees
The successful candidate will have previous experience using or a desire to learn:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Adobe Products (Premiere Pro, Audition, Acrobat) or comparable
Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Zoom
EveryAction or similar CRM

The Concord Coalition is headquartered in Arlington, VA, with a volunteer network spread across the country. As a small nonprofit with an outsized reach, the organization takes an all-hands-on-deck approach to fulfilling its mission. As a result, the successful candidate must be a team player, a self-starter, and capable of working in a nonpartisan environment and willing to take on new responsibilities as they grow in the role and gain experience within the organization. Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills are essential.
