Congresswoman Kelly Morrison (D-MN-03) is seeking a press intern for Summer 2025 in her Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will be reliable, creative, and detail-oriented, with strong communication and writing skills. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a congressional press operation and learn about digital media, messaging, and the legislative process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring media coverage and tracking press related to the Congresswoman and her work
  • Assisting with drafting press releases, newsletters, and social media content
  • Creating graphics and assisting with video editing
  • Compiling press lists and supporting media outreach efforts
  • Other communications-related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital media trends
  • Experience with graphic design tools (such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
  • Minnesota ties and prior experience in a professional setting are preferred

Hours & Compensation:

The internship runs from early June to early August, with flexible hours to accommodate academic schedules. A stipend will be provided.
