Media Relations Assistant

The United States Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking a Media Relations Assistant #647. The Media Relations Assistant supports the core functions of the Daily Press Gallery, which include managing media access related to Senate activity and serving as a resource to multiple stakeholders. This position provides administrative support for the press credentialing process and processes incoming inquiries from gallery members and Senate staff. The assistant role also helps senior gallery staff plan and execute logistics surrounding media access to special events, track legislative activities, and advise best coverage practices for reporters. The position works under the general supervision of the Daily Press Gallery Director and Deputy Director.
