The Office of U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth seeks a highly-motivated, organized Regional Community Outreach Coordinator for the Rock Island Office located in Rock Island, Illinois. 

Working with the Senator’s State Team, the regional coordinator’s primary duties include handling office administrative tasks, including among other things, answering phones, opening mail, drafting and coordinating correspondence, and conducting constituent casework and services in the region. The regional coordinator also assists with representing the senator at meetings and public events, as assigned by the Downstate Director. The position requires some travel to communities throughout the area of responsibility and the state. This includes occasional meetings and events during evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, flexible, able to multitask and prioritize, and works well under pressure. The candidate should have familiarity with the region and an interest in public policy.

A background or experience with customer service is preferred, and strong writing and grammar skills are a must. To be successful, the candidate should be both self-motivated and able to work independently, but also comfortable working as part of a large, highly-coordinated team. The expected starting annual salary for this position is $53,000 - $58,000 with benefits.
