Senator Bernie Sanders seeks creative, capable, hardworking Press Secretary. This role will assist the Communications Director in executing the Senator’s communications strategy, possess strong writing skills, and hold a strong understanding of the media environment and evolving platforms. Our ideal candidate works well under pressure, thrives under tight deadlines, and is familiar with drafting press releases, advisories, social media content, and long-form materials – in addition to fluency in digital content creation. Applicants should have at least 3-4 years of demonstrated experience working in a communications role. This role will be responsible for assisting with writing daily content, managing material for both the Senator’s personal office and his committees, supporting in rapid response communications, and more. Fluency in written Spanish is a priority for this role. The position requires attention to detail, and the ability to quickly draft, fact check, and edit written content.
