Job Description
The Senate Committee on Finance Office of the Chairman is seeking an intern or law clerk to assist the Committee’s tax team for the fall of 2024. Interns and law clerks routinely assist with legislative research projects, hearings, and other substantive assignments and administrative tasks. Previous interns and law clerks have worked on a variety of tax policy issues; if selected, the office will work with you to find projects that best align with your interests.
Ideal candidates would be graduate or law students with a demonstrated interest in tax policy. Although neither a salary nor expenses can be paid, often students are able to receive college credit for participating in the program. This position will start in September 2024.
Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply. The Office is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, age, uniformed service, genetic information, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. To apply, e-mail a brief cover letter and resume to senate_employment@saa.senate.gov indicating job referral number 230595 in the subject line.
