Digital Director/Press Secretary

The office of Congresswoman Susie Lee is hiring a Digital Director/Press Secretary based in her Washington D.C. office. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful, creative, strategic, and will be able to handle multiple tasks at once and work quickly under pressure. Qualified applicants will have experience in digital and social media, video editing, and graphic design, as well as strong writing and communication skills. This position will report to the Communications Director. Tentative start date is April 2025. 

Daily tasks include drafting and posting content for the member’s social media platforms; managing the website; graphic design; video filming and editing; managing the newsletter and survey program; assisting with digital franking such as franked Facebook ads; assisting with the 499 program, approving daily press clips; drafting press releases, statements, talking points, and remarks; and supporting the communications team as needed. Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Canva, L2, and constituent management platforms, such as IQ, preferred. 

The preferred candidate will have prior government, political, or policy communications experience and Capitol Hill experience is a plus. Title and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
