Job Description
Dignity in Schools – National Coalition Against School Pushout (DSC) is searching for an Operations and Membership Coordinator.
Because DSC is a coalition, not its own 501c3 organization, DSC is a program anchored by Partners for Dignity & Rights (formerly NESRI), an organization dedicated to building a broad movement for economic and social rights, including health, housing, education and work with dignity. Therefore, all DSC program staff are employees of Partners for Dignity & Rights (P4DR).
The Operations and Membership Coordinator will work collaboratively with the DSC-national Coordinating Committee (made up of representatives from member organizations located across the country), campaign members and DSC staff to maintain clear, efficient and member-centered organizational operations, including distributing member support funds to local groups, coordinating our membership application processes (including managing our membership database), and managing logistics for events and webinars. This is a remote position that includes some travel.
The Operations and Membership Coordinator will join a small team that includes the Director, Deputy Director and Communications Coordinator based in different parts of the country. Our staff work within a democratic, member-led coalition structure that places affected communities at the center of our decision-making. We value dedication, a collaborative work ethic, and accountability to our grassroots membership bases.
We will be taking applications through November 7th 2024. Please send all submissions to jobs@dignityinschools.org. If you have any questions, please contact Ruth Idakula at ruth@dignityinschools.org.
