Job Description

Change Chemistry is a growing multi-stakeholder collaborative that drives the commercial adoption of safer, more sustainable chemicals, processes, and products by catalyzing and guiding action across all industries, sectors, and supply chains. We are hiring a policy/government affairs manager, a candidate with a passion for environmental and sustainability issues. We seek candidates who can analyze policy, engage policymakers and other stakeholders, and make recommendations. You will work directly with our members: companies, government agencies, advocates, and other thought leaders in the sustainable chemistry space. Our members are sharing innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems. If you believe in the power of collaboration to catalyze change, we look forward to talking with you.

We are searching for someone with strong policy understanding and relationship-building skills to help engage our members. We need someone who can clearly articulate a theory of change and logic model while telling a compelling story about our impact. The Policy Manager will work alongside the Executive Director and European Program Lead to implement the organization’s advocacy strategy. There is a growing trend towards collaboration between government and business to solve problems and create solutions that work for both parties. This trend is being driven by the realization that neither government nor business can solve problems alone and that they must work together to create lasting solutions.

An ideal candidate will have previous experience designing, running, and evaluating policy advocacy programs. An ability to work in a bi-partisan space, listen and build coalitions, and persuade others is required. Time spent in a congressional office will strengthen your application. If you are personable and a collaborative team player with strong analytic skills this may be a good fit. In this role, you will make a difference by improving human and environmental health on a global scale, while driving innovation in sustainable chemistry.
